thiskashigata remains in very fine condition with a warm century deep patina

it remains in fine condition with the exception of a damaged spot shown in detail in the photos

This plate has a stencil print design of bamboo and chrysanthemum flowers (see pictures)

This tiny tansu is made of solid Keyaki (zelkova Japanese elm) on all outside faces. The metal hardware bronze finished with burnt lacquer. The method of construction as well as the bronze work on this chest help date it to the mid to late 19th century.
