It's created using thick clay coils

I cover the leatherhard surface in porcelain slip--then I incise the surface creating lines and patterns which are then filled with oxides and finish with hand-applied rich

then glazed

All are finished with hand applied transparent glazes. All black clay mugs are 3. 5" to 4" tall and 3. 25" to 3. 5" in diameter. Each mug holds at least 8oz+ of liquid. Each mug is unique and one of a kind complete with slightly quirky marks and indentions, including those from my fingers, adding warmth and texture that define the character
