But upon further looking, the handloomed cotton with its resist paste technique shows stems that end in a swirl, reminiscent of linework seen in Dong's depiction of butterfly anteana. And further, there is a motif that might be a dragon, but I suggest a stylized butterfly coming out of its cocoon. Mid 20th century. Guizhou. 17 x
