Earhart signs along the upper left hand corner with a wonderful, full signature. Just one year earlier, in 1928, Earhart had just become the first woman to make a full transatlantic crossing. However, the 1929 Derby status was hurriedly changed to "In Memory Of Marvel Crosson" a pioneering female Alaskan bush
