It has rubber feet to keep it from slipping on the counter top. The board is made of: Wenge on the edges and center, Zebrawood which is a the multi colored wood, and Maple, the lighter colored wood. It is finished with food safe mineral oil and then coated with a had rubbed layer of beeswax.
