Most Commander players are attracted to the format because you get to play with all of the interesting cards that arent strong enough to make it in competitive formats like Modern and Legacy

This is also great in decks that regularly know what the top few cards of their library is with cards like Sensei's Divining Top or Sylvan Library or Scroll Rack

If youre really lucky, you also get some selection in there, but you also run the risk of wiffing if you have my luck
