Modified as a term in Magic isnt exactly new, its been around since Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, but in Modern Horizons 3, it is getting some extra attention paid to it
It compensates with raw card advantage and resilience through recursion
Flavour wise it is still a total winner, little in magic compares to the feeling of impending doom you have as you repeatedly chump block the ever growing Spirit Monger just waiting for the time it is big enough to one shot you and your blockers get removed
Drawing an extra card per turn isn't particularly impressive in current Commander, but if you're ancient like me and grew up on the Weatherlight Saga being able to run this as your commander is pretty cool actually
Articuno's Stats: Type: Water Stage: Basic Generation: Gen 1 HP: 140 Retreat Cost: 2 Colorless Energy Attacks: Ice Wing and Blizzard Ice Wing deals 40 damage and costs one Water Energy and one Colorless Energy Blizzard deals 80 damage and costs three Water Energy This attack also does 10 damage to each of your opponents Benched Pokmon
Oh, and it can draw you a bunch when it enters the battlefield
