I went with Woolly Thoctar, like Naya Excalibur, as the only three drop in the deck (Kowal played his Great Sable Stags in the main I dont see that as particularly attractive, even with the prevalence of Vampires in Standard)
The only downside with Nelly is that opponents get to draw a card (and you too) whenever an opponent deals combat damage to another opponent
Then, for four mana, you can tap it to put a shadow (a creature with shadow can only block or be blocked by creatures with shadow) counter on a creature, which becomes a wraith for as long as it has that counter
