He turns four tokens into three +1/+1 counters, so even without built-in protection, this is very doable

One way is to use Lifelink MTG cards or abilities to prevent damage or prevent Lifelink from gaining

If you do, you may return 1 [Mirei Mikagura] or 1 card with [Angel], [Archangel], or [Fallen Angel] in its traits from your trash to your hand

You cant flood with this in your graveyard, which is quite nice

Obviously, the attack trigger is nice, but it also requires you to have some mana to actually cast the spell that you copy since it says Cast it, so you dont just stick the spell on the stack like effects that just say Copy target spell. Now, casting that spell is pretty nice, as it is effectively an extra card in your hand, and a 4/3 will often at least trade in combat, so you get a 2-for-1
