Shadowless cards have no edition ranking, making them more valuable than first edition cards

If they are, then the card is a counterfeit
To win, you need three points gained by knocking out an opponent's Pokmon (two points for an EX knockout), which makes for shorter games
This advantage is especially important in the context of a small five-set Standard card pool with less flexible mana bases
