So when I happened to come across the Ruthless Regiment deck at a big box store the other day, I snapped it up

Creatures that have taken damage equal to or greater than their TOUGHNESS die and are sent to the graveyard

This, alongside a mana neutral rock like The Great Henge, can create infinite colorless mana

This allows you to play a character that costs five ink or less for free, and it does interact with Shift mechanics

Its a great starter if you want a Black/Green Commander, plus it includes a Legendary trampler with some interesting abilities, namely [c]Gyome, Master Chef[/c]
