The problem is that Im inclined to generate ink (the games version of mana) on every turn, which burns one card from my hand right off the top
They're equally satisfied by an artifact you sacrificed to pay a cost, a creature you controlled that was destroyed by Cast Down, or an enchantment you returned to your hand with Cyclonic Rift
This is especially important in mono-green decks like Fangorn, Tree ShepherdFangorn, Tree Shepherd and Shroofus SproutsireShroofus Sproutsire, or controlling enchantments-matter builds like Sythis, Harvest's HandSythis, Harvest's Hand, who need critical mass of the card type
Once this deck started drawing extra cards, its ability to deploy spells was so much better than anything else in the format that there was no keeping up with it
Its a relatively small mechanic in terms of the great expanse that is Magic mechanics
