TL;DR Removal is weaker when you are frequently forced to use it defensively (often a consequence of your creatures matching up poorly against your opponents)
A Surge of Playtesting While I have included what would be considered a fair list of the top cards in Surging Sparks, there are plenty of cards in this set that can grow into the role of the top 5 cards from Surging Sparks
To address this, we added a Soul Transfer to the sideboard a somewhat clunky, but flexible, card that we could board in to hedge against various threats (Ao, the Dawn Sky, The Eternal Wanderer, Razorlash Transmogrant, etc)
