This trigger isn't particularly strong when you can't do it at instant speed

So, they're free to attack on your turn and then adopt a defensive position, returning to artifacts on your opponents' turns.

Unfortunately for my play experience with The Goose Mother, I kept running into control decks that would constantly bounce or counter my big Bird Hydra, so Im not sure how much play it will have in the new Standard environment, but I do think its a really cool card for Commander
