The last one in particular is amazing for when the stack is getting a bit busy (such as if someone is playing a Storm deck, or if there has been a lot of interaction), as it counters every spell and ability, and then exiles every spell cast
Its best with cards that have valuable activated abilities or attack triggers you want to trigger immediately, such as Rowan, Scion of War, or Alena, Kessig Trapper
Good utility cards but playing them mainly for their countering potential is unadvisable

While not every one of these cards gets to become a staple of a format, they tend to all have some kind of ability, or a combination thereof, that ends up overcharging one playstyle or another
