Both these cards play around the lifegain theme, which is hugely popular in Commander already

The deck I am going to recommend building into will be designed to play similar to the starter deck while also just getting you a lot of the staples of both Inks so if it doesnt wind up being powerful you will at least be acquiring strong cards for other decks

The Grixis color combination isn't great at ramping mana, but vampires tend to be very efficient in their cost and rely on each other for benefit, besides, you are limited to casting one collected card on each player's turn, so it's not broken right
