Typically when a card is reprinted in another set, it either undergoes a rarity upshift (as is the case with Snapcaster Mage, which went from a rare in Innistrad to mythic rare in Modern Masters 2017 ) or a rarity downshift (as is the case with Mortician Beetle, which went from being a rare in Rise of the Eldrazi to a common in Modern Masters 2017 )

The only cards with this effect are "The Eye of Timaeus" and "The Gaze of Timaeus", which Fusion Summons specified Fusion Monsters using 1 monster as material, ignoring the original Fusion Material requirements which all require 2 or more monsters as material

This might make it sound like multiple Battle for Bretagards are worse than a single Battle mixed with other cards, but thats not really true either
