This is a solid removal spell as a baseline, and sometimes it'll be worth giving your opponent a card to get a good creature back from your graveyard

If you want something a bit smaller in scale, cards like Sparkmage Apprentice, Ghitu Shaman, and Basalt Ravager can really bring the beats
Now, the card makes me care about +1/+1 counters, so that would have to be worked into the deck, but as I said above, I'm a Johnny, so I'm not scared away by hoops to jump through
