My read is that people would rather put in those kinds of cards than put in hand traps they don't usually use
I'm not sure how much Archfiend would need this, but the DARK Dragon-Type effect could just let you draw without the discard and still be fine, unless you have planned to take advantage of the discard in some way, which DARK monsters often do, but I don't think the decks that could use this card will really go for that

I dunno if someone is buying legit packs, then returning with a receipt and decent enough fake packs that are unopened and getting exchanges/store credit/refunds or whatever.
