The higher the combined stats, the wider the range of creatures you can tutor directly into play, which leads to more mana to cast even bigger creatures

At such a low mana value getting to dip into your opponent spells as well is pretty nice

Theres a growing subset of creatures who balance out a lower-than-usual cost by entering play asleep with a bunch of stun counters on them: copy them with Alteration, and you can turn your 1/1 into a full-power Arixmethes or The Watcher in the Water

This deck doesnt focus on Toxic, Infect or Poison, but it has enough proliferation from the commander zone that you might consider a card here and there
