I managed to get my hands on the new set a day before it lands, and while initially unsure how the D&D universe sits in the MTG multiverse, I have to say I had a lot of fun turning cards sideways and doing completely nasty things to my opponents
WotC also likely owns the copyrights to the art on each magic card (after 1999)
Collectors prize this card not for raw power, but for what it represents
The new Field Spell is quite intense it turns everything on the field DARK and lets you swallow up your opponents monsters
(For example, you can target the same player with Toil that you target with Trouble, or you can target different players.) EDIT -- One other thing: When a fused spell resolves, the left half's effect happens first
He's not the most popular villain, but Lysandre's unique design gives this card some distinctive eye appeal as it differentiates itself from its peers
